# Power control

### **Overview**

**Power control** is a remote power management tool that helps you optimize electricity usage and reduce operational costs through flexible device scheduling.\
It allows you to switch miners to **Sleep mode** based on custom schedules - lowering energy consumption and extending hardware lifespan.

{% hint style="success" %}
Power control is available for **Scale** and **Enterprise Solution** plan users.
{% endhint %}

{% hint style="warning" %}
If your subscription plan doesn’t include Power control, the feature will be hidden in the interface.\
To activate it, please contact support or upgrade your plan.
{% endhint %}

#### Creating a schedule

1. In the context menu, select **Create schedule**.
2. Enter a schedule name in the **Title** field. This field is required.

5. Set the schedule duration:
   * In **Active from**, select the start date.
   * If needed, specify the end date in **Active to**.
6. Configure recurrence:
   * You can select individual days of the week.
   * Each day is displayed as a separate block where you can add one or more time slots.
7. If needed, add one-time schedules in the **Additional dates** section.
   * For each row, select a date and define the **From** and **To** time range.
   * Dates must fall within the overall schedule period.
8. At the bottom of the modal window, the **Summary** section displays an overview of the configured schedule.
9. Click **Save** to create the schedule and apply it to the selected devices.

{% hint style="success" %}
If a device fails to enter Sleep Mode, the system will automatically retry every 10 minutes while the schedule remains active.

### FAQ

<details>

<summary>How do I know if Power control is available for me?</summary>

If you can see the **Power control** button or menu in the Moonone interface, the feature is available on your plan.\
If these elements are hidden, your current plan doesn’t include Power control.\
To enable it, please contact Support or upgrade your subscription plan.

</details>

<details>

<summary>How many schedules can I create?</summary>

There’s no limit to the number of schedules you can create.\
However, for easier management, we recommend creating logically grouped schedules and using clear, descriptive names.

</details>

<details>

<summary>Can I set multiple Sleep Mode periods in one day?</summary>

Yes. You can add up to **five time slots per day** for each day of the week, each with its own time range.

</details>

<details>

<summary>Can I assign multiple schedules to one device?</summary>

No. Each device can have only **one active schedule** assigned at a time.

</details>

<details>

<summary>What are Additional dates, and when should I use them?</summary>

**Additional dates** allow you to create one-time schedules for specific days (such as holidays, maintenance windows, or special events) without changing the main recurring schedule.

</details>

<details>

<summary>Can I create a schedule for a single specific date without weekly recurrence?</summary>

Yes. You can leave all days of the week unselected and add the required dates in the **Additional dates** section. In this case, the schedule will run only on those dates.

</details>

<details>

<summary>What happens if an additional date overlaps with a day that already has a recurring schedule?</summary>

A one-time schedule takes priority. If a one-time schedule is set for a specific date, the system applies only that schedule on that day. The recurring schedule for the same date is ignored to prevent conflicts and ambiguous behavior.

</details>

<details>

<summary>What happens if I manually turn on a device that’s in Sleep Mode according to a schedule?</summary>

The device will start mining immediately.\
However, when the next scheduled Sleep Mode period begins, it will automatically power down again.\
If you need to temporarily disable the schedule, set its status to **Inactive**.

</details>

<details>

<summary>What happens to devices if I delete a schedule?</summary>

All devices linked to that schedule will automatically be unassigned.\
They’ll continue operating normally, without automated power management.\
You can assign a different schedule to them anytime.

</details>

<details>

<summary>Will a manual command conflict with a schedule?</summary>

No. Manual commands take priority and are executed immediately.
