# Prepare hardware

## R**ecommended CPU specifications**

The hardware specifications vary depending on the number of miners managed, ranging from a Raspberry Pi for smaller setups to enterprise-grade servers for larger operations.

<table><thead><tr><th width="90.30859375">Miners</th><th>0 - 2,000</th><th>2,000 - 4,000</th><th>4,000 - 10,000</th><th>10,000+</th></tr></thead><tbody><tr><td><strong>Device</strong></td><td>Raspberry Pi 4B/5 or equivalent server/PC</td><td>Intel i5 or equivalent AMD processor, with a minimum of 4 cores</td><td>Intel i7 or equivalent AMD processor, with a minimum of 8 cores and 16 threads</td><td>Enterprise-grade server is recommended — please contact us for a consultation.</td></tr><tr><td><strong>RAM</strong></td><td>At least 4GB</td><td>6-8GB</td><td>16GB</td><td>-</td></tr></tbody></table>

## S**oftware Requirements**

* **Operating System:** Ubuntu preferred 24.04 LTS or higher.
* **Connectivity:** Stable network connection with access to remote miners.

Our monitoring platform's architecture allows for the distribution of tasks across multiple smaller servers rather than relying on a single powerful server. This not only facilitates easier and more scalable deployment but also provides flexibility in managing workloads.

A MoonOne agent is deployed on each server to manage miners based on the configuration.

* **Single Computer per Mining Container**: Suitable for smaller operations, where each agent can handle roughly 500 miners per container.
* **Shared Computer for Multiple Containers**: For more extensive networks, a single agent manages several thousand miners across multiple containers.
* **Enterprise Server for Entire Site**: In large-scale environments, a robust enterprise server with one MoonOne agent can manage over 10,000 miners, ensuring efficient and streamlined operations.

This scalable and flexible architecture is designed to accommodate various operational needs and technology environments.
